The problem with Yundi's interpretation is it is a bit funereal. It sounds more like a dirge than a love dream. I've listened to just about every version on RUclips. The clear winner is Jose Iturbi's 1946 recording on a 78 rpm record. A master of rubato, the piece rolls out of his soul, so you even forget that his technique is perfection itself. That's what this piece needs --- and Iturbi is the only one who has it --- in spades! Believe it or not, Barenboim's version is (so far) a runner up --- but even he can't touch Iturbi.

Its still the best I heard out of over 20 versions. Kissin is next
